Dec 14, 2018
Just a short update before we head down to Mindanao on Saturday. A more detailed report will follow early in the New Year.
A quick overview
We had a pleasant Christmas leadership lunch and enjoyed the initial Hands of Hope Faith Academy (HOHFA) Christmas celebrations followed by a staff lunch. The main HOHFA Christmas program is on the 15th December. Jenny is back in Auckland for seven weeks doing a locum, Joe's is sitting exams, I am catching up on a few things before we head to Mindanao, and the recently planted rice is growing nicely.
Mindanao
A group from our churches are excited and ready to partner with a team in Mindanao, to head into the mountains and visit 7 different locations in 10 days. There will be much fun and laughter, kids will be excited as they receive a small, but practical, gift, new people will enter God's family, and the Holy Spirit will bring great joy. For us, it's one of the highlights of the year. It's not too late to partner with us. Click here to find out more.
Christmas
With the holiday season around the corner, and Christmas being a time of giving, I would like to encourage you to think of those who are less fortunate. Christmas, after all, is a celebration of Jesus' birth and His teachings of goodwill towards all. Click here to find out how you can make a difference.
So, as this year draws to a close and a new year emerges, from all of us here, at Hands of Hope, we wish you a wonderful Christmas and a God filled and prosperous 2019. If you are on Facebook or skype please add us as we would love to keep in touch. Once again, thank you and Merry Christmas.
Love and Blessings

Duane, Jenny & Joe
